We have used Phoca Download for a very long time and like it a lot. However from Joomla 3.10.x and over to Joomla 4.2.2 the Play-button for audio files doesn't work any longer. It opens a player window but the player can't play the file. It is regular MP3 files.

We use Phoca Download 3.2.3 and we can't easily upgrade to 4.0.3 without loosing all file posts.

• What can we do to make the player work?

• How can we update to 4.0.3 of Phoca Download without loosing data?

You will not lose any data when you use this guide to migrate from Phoca Download for Joomla! 3.x to Phoca Download for Joomla! 4.x. But of course you should make backups of database and files before!

Why not make an easy upgrade function in Phoca Download so you don't need to use phpMyAdmin?
Will an upgrade solve the player button problem?

Why not make an easy upgrade function in Phoca Download so you don't need to use phpMyAdmin?

If you are able to create such kind of upgrade function, you are really welcome to do it and share it.
And what is the problem with phpMyAdmin? I'm a noob in sql skills, but to follow the recommended guide should be/is no problem for me and others.
