In the last few days, I tried to start a platform with the extend "submit items" functionality of Phoca Cart. Unfortunately, I'm not yet there where I imagined, Phoca Cart could bring me.
I'm planning to create a community where users can submit their own products (local farmers). These products can be bought by consumers (or other farmers as well). Therefore, a consumer could potentially shop from different farmers. So, by converting a submitted item into a product, I'm kind of loosing this direct link between submitting farmer and consumer order. Somehow, I see a lot of prepared stuff (like vendors, manufactors, item submission etc.) - but kind of not the whole story.
Are there - with the existing version - ways on implementing this? And if no, does anybody feel able to implement it together with me (I'm a very basic programmer with rough PHP knowledge - but definitively not a code magician... ;-) ) to make it available to the community?
Following features, I'm missing:
- Farmers should be able to control their submitted products even when integrated / imported into the product lifecycle (also eg. for stock amount management, availability etc.)
- Farmers should get notified if a consumer ordered a product this farmer offers
- Farmers should see their orders and customers but only theirs and not others farmer's customers
- A delivery service should get informed about which user has ordered which products from which farmer and - in best case - in a consolidated way (so they don't have to show off three times a day at the same farmer because they didn't realize that there are more orders)
Thanks for your opinions
