I have the exact same problem.

I have created a couple of categories using the Phoca Gallery Module and included about 5 or 6 photos in each category. I have then tried to embed them into one of my articles using the Phoca Gallery Plugin. The plug-in created the following code in my article:

{phocagallery view=categories|imagecategories=1|imagecategoriessize=0}

I previewed the page and the code still displays. The category has the correct ID of 1 so what else must be done for this to work? Is it ok to paste the code directly in the article like this or should there be some other code wrapped round it? PHP code for example.

I am new to all things Joomla and Phoca related so your help is very much appreciated!

Hi,

I previewed the page and the code still displays

means:

- the plugin is not installed or
- the plugin is not enabled.

Try to see joomla documentation (plugins) and check if the plugin was installed and published.

Thanks for the prompt response.

I've gone to the Plugin Manager and where it says "Button - Phoca Gallery" I have a green check next to it, so it is enabled.

Could it be that I've not installed it properly?

I've got a similar problem. Gallery (v2.5. and plugin installed and enables. One category with many images. This on my gallery page:

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|detail=3|displayname=0|displaydetail=0|imageshadow=shadow1}

...yeilds nothing on the page.

I've noted this in the page code: <div class="phocagallery"></div>
So it looks like something's trying to happen but not quite getting there.

I see 404 on the site

No worries - but in order to help the other peeps here, would you know of a solution to this problem? Is it a bug?

Which link are you getting a 404 on? Just checked my link and it's fine. Still awaiting a solution on this.

I am getting this with phoca gallary plugin, and with phoca button plugin , it simply displays the code. I checked , both plugins are properly installed. I tried both separately also, but of no use. Sincerely need your help.
