Hi, we're trying to build an eCommerce site for a Non Profit (Local Humane Society Animal Shelter) to sell their goods online, BUT they also need a Point of Sale setup to operate their Thrift Store.
Therein lies the rub. We are clueless about POS, and completely in the dark about hardware to recommend. We are 200+ miles of bad road away from this client, so we absolutely must have a reliable, simple setup for this.
Does anyone have experience with PhocaPOS in use? Can you tell us how to source appropriate hardware? There's not a big budget on this project, but the client will spend what's necessary to have a robust setup so that it can be "manned" by volunteers.
We haven't purchased a cart package as yet.

Hi, in fact it is up to you, you can see on this video that it can run on tablet and old POS printer and simple scanner:

Thanks, Jan
I've installed Phoca Cart and will be testing it out with the client remotely today... Thus far, we are very, very pleased with your software.
