custon fields groups & categories / 4.06

Hi

First of all, congratulations for your amazing work.
I'm building a bilingual bookstore and it's very convenient to use custom fields instead of Parameters (I don't need colors or sizes). I saw that in the latest version 4.06 the categories were added to the custom fields. But:
1. The tabs that create the custom fields groups appear in frontend on both languages, while I define a specific language for them.
2. Tabs appear even if they don't have any fields in them.
3. If I define a category for the fields, they do not appear at all in the backend. Of course, not defining a category is not a big problem because if I don't give a value, the field doesn't appear in front. But they appear all in backend, regardless of category.
4. Prexif/suffix are not displayed at all
I can set the custom fields as "use for filtering". But where and how; In the filter module? In the finder module?
