Hello,
I keep a copy of my website on my computer for testing using WAMP server with Joomla 4.3.1
When I want to update Phoca Gallery 4.5.0 Beta2 to 4.5.3 with the Joomla updater
Phoca Gallery
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Phoca ... nifest.xml
http://www.phoca.cz/version/index.php?p ... lery=4.5.3
I get this message:
The checksum verification failed. Please make sure you are using the correct update server!
Is there a way to fix this or do I need to re-install the galley from scratch?
Thank you for your time.
Reno

Re: Cannot update to new version
Hi,
Have you also tried to go the other way?
Download Phoca Gallery 4.5.3 and update it via: backend --> Extensions --> Manage --> Install --> Upload Package File
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: Cannot update to new version
Thanks Jan.
I tried that method and it worked.
However, from the main menu (Phoca Gallery >> List of Categories) I get a PHP error:
Deprecated: str_replace(): Passing null to parameter #3 ($subject) of type array|string is deprecated in D:\WampServer\www\renoholland\administrator\components\com_phocagallery\libraries\phocagallery\file\file.php on line 26
I have no knowledge of PHP unfortunately.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks Christine,
I set Display Empty Categories to: NO
And the error message is gone.

Re: Cannot update to new version
Hi Hugh,
Thanks for your feedback.
Just for info to All:
Jan informed about it. In Joomla Core, there is a problem with the checksum of the ZIP file, which unfortunately leads to problems.
The manifest xml file (manifest.xml) should now be OK.
Kind regards
Christine
