Hello,

I am trying to add an image to a post in these forums and I get the error:

"You cannot use certain BBCodes: <img>"

Here is the BBCode I am using:



Seems simple enough.... why the error?

Note: In this post, I have replaced the square brackets with angle brackets to avoid the same error here!

Hi, can you paste the error message screenshot here - you can just add a link to the image. Not sure, but some functions are disabled for new accounts in phpBB, but I don't think, it is using of BB tags

I tried a brand new post and below is a link to the screenshot. Looks like BBCode is ON.

Note - I don't have a problem with the url BBCode (as evident in this thread), so I don't think it's a general BBCode on vs. off issue. I only seem to be getting the issue for img BBCode.

Hi, really hard to say why the img tag is off. We can maybe wait until you will have 10 posts to see if something will change. But for now you can add just links to images, there is no problem to see them if they are onl linked.

Yes, it looks like that was the cause. I am now able to use that BBcode - see previous post above.
