Shopping cart - display of quantity & access also for guests

I have added the shopping cart as an icon at the top of the main menu of a page. Is there a way that the icon changes when I add an item to the shopping cart? So that a small number appears with the number of items in the cart?

I have also added a link to the shopping cart in a submenu, but when you click on it, a message appears that you have to log in. However, I have activated the option that guests can also shop. What am I doing wrong?

Hm, I am using Helix Ultimate Shaper. Any solution therefore?
