Setting up a negative set

Hi!
How can I set some products to negative stock, i.e. no stock, but still order them?
So that there are products next to it where stock control is needed!
Can this be done in phocacart?
THX!

Hey Xeno
I may be as new as you are here or even newer so I'm sorry if you already saw there are a lot of options in Configuration - Phoca Cart - Calculation - Stock.
E.g. allow negative stock.
And of course per product, you can set how much stock you have.
Other than that I don't really understand your question but maybe Jan or Benno would.

Yes, I have seen it and it is on and the stock is enabled.
And I tried all combinations...
Some products are in stock, so you know how much you have, and you can't order more, it won't let you.
Then there are products that are not in stock (0/-1) and you can order from that because it's a pre-order. As many as they order, they produce.
These two should somehow work together, but I can't seem to get it to work. Or it's just a bad setup..

So if I understand correctly, you'd like some stock options to allow negative stock and others which don't?
Back to Jan, I fear, sorry I couldn't help

Just set high number of stock, like 999999...

I knew it would be good, but how ugly it looks when the customer sees it on the product(?)
And then I don't understand what this option is for ->
Negative Stocks: Allow or disallow negative stocks. If stock checking is enabled and customer can order product which is not in stock, set if the number of products in stock may have a negative value

Hi, when stock checking is not enabled, customers can order a product which is not in stock. If he/she makes the order, the count goes to negative number. e.g. -3. So the question is, count to minus value or stop by zero.

So the answer is that you cannot check the stock of a product in phocacart and order another one, even if the stock is zero? So it is not possible to pre-order a product?
Only if stock control is set and I set the stock level of my pre-ordered product to 999999999?

Hi, just see following three parameters:
User can order items if it is not on stock when Stock Checkout is set to "No".
