Slideshow: no image or category is unpublished or not author

Post by n0yes »

Hello there!
I'm using Joomla 1.5, JCE Editor v.1.5.6., and:
Phoca Gallery v.2.5.8,
Plugin v.2.5.9,
Slideshow v.2.6.0,
Button v.2.6.0.

Everything is working great and I love Phoca extensions ... except I have problem with putting slideshow in articles. Inserting categories or images works fine, but with slideshow I get this:

There is no image or category is unpublished or not authorized

All the plugins are enabled. I don't know how to fix this. I was searching the web for an answer, but didn't get one.
My test site is: http://www.wajdusna.com/kdljubljana/sol ... novna-sola
the slideshow is supposed to be at the end of the article  Can you help me?

Hi, you cannot use plugin 2.6.0 and component 2.5.8 as since 2.6.8 images can be authorized and 2.5.8 doesn't know this feature.

Component, Module and Plugin needs to have the same version 2.6.x or 2.5.x

Ok I understand. But then I have a problem with finding all compatible downloads. If I want to use all 2.5.x version, then the only Slideshow and Button version available for download on Phoca site (besides 2.6.0) are 2.5.7 BETA.

But if I want to upgrade everything to 2.6.x, the main Phoca Gallery component available is BETA version.

I'm only a designer and my understanding of things is limited. It is said that beta versions are for testing purposes only, so I don't want to complicate things by using beta versions ...

Where can I find Slideshow and Button plugin 2.5.x stable version for download? Or, if not, should I install 2.6.0 beta component instead?

Thank you for such a quick reply in the first place!

Hi, all the 2.5.x versions are stable, there are some files with "beta" labelling. It is only the labelling as because time issue, sometimes I cannot find time to rename it (I spend all my freetime to build new features, fixing bugs and answering the posts, so sometimes the time is not enough to change all the labelling and make documentation uptodate :-( )

Hmm. I encountered a problem during classic joomla uninstal procedure. I was planning to uninstall Slideshow and Button v2.6 and replace them with v2.5 as recommended, but there was an error message:
* The installer could not remove the extension as requested. Manual removal is required.
* The installer could not remove the extension as requested. Manual removal is required.
I think it also said something about some xml files, but I'm not sure because I clicked something too quickly and too panicky
I don't want to go blindly erasing Phoca files manually cause I still have the main component and plugin installed. I also don't dare to install the "downgrade (v2.5.x)" plugins before I know it's safe.
I can always uninstall everything Phoca and install it fresh, but I customized gallery parameters, css and language file so... I'd rather wait a while if you can help me locate these files manually
