Loading phoca gallery images in a different subdomain

Hello,
I have a site based on Joomla 5.1.2 with Phoca Gallery v. 5.0.2
The site contains several thousands of pictures To reduce the size of the backup (I can save the pictures on my devices) I'd want to upload all pictures on a different subdomains.
Searching in the forum I read that I must modifie the "path.php" file

By modifying

$instance->image_abs = '/var/www/vhosts/parrocchiacarmine.it/subdomains/galleriafotografica/httpdocs/'; (depending on my host)

place Phoca Gallery base folder correctly on the other subdomain and allows me to upload photos to Phoca Gallery but when I see the list of the loaded photos I always find the link to view the photo preceded by the name of the subdomain in which Phoca Gallery is loaded

"https://areadownload.xxxxxxx.it/galleri ... /image.jpg"

and so I don't see the images either in the front-end or in the back-end.

There may still be something to change in the "path.php" file (or in some other file) to ensure that the name of the subdomain where phoca gallery is installed is not used in the front-end and back-end, but only the name of the other subdomain where the photos are uploaded?

Hi, unfortunately, I don't have any experiences with linking images from another domain, this is maybe a general question on joomla forum. Because the paths/links created in Joomla (e.g. in extension) are made by Joomla methods. So the start of each link is set by Joomla methods (e.g. URI class).
