FavIcon display in Firefox - Bookmarks bar

I've installed the Phoca Favicon component, created a favicon for my site - it worked great!

But one question, maybe someone can help: in Firefox I have a link to my site in the bookmarks bar. Also after clearing the cache the new favicon wasn't displayed there, it still was the standard Joomla icon. So I've deleted the link and recreated it - same result. I've finally put the favicon.ico file additionally into the root folder of my website - then I could see the favicon in the bookmarks bar also. Is this also the case for other users or do you see your created favicons without to take additional steps?

Strange, seems to be working now, also without favicon.ico in the root folder... Whatever it was - it's not an issue anymore.
