No image in markers

Post by sturesol »

I want to begin by saying Phoca delivers the features I searched a long time from the same developer. Now for one or two problems I have with Phocamaps.

Funktion markers
If I click on the icon to insert image window opens but I get error 403 (Forbidden).

If I insert the picture in description I can see the image in the editor but not on the frontend.
I've tried to insert the image with both Tiny MCE and JCE.

Grateful for any help with the problem!

Hi, check permissions and ownership of your files and folders. But no idea there. I am testing it and get no such problems with images pasted to the editor. They are normally displayed

Maybe check if the path to to images is OK

Thank you for taking the time to help me.
I checked the paths and they seems ok.
I can not find anything wrong with permissions.
If I find the error I post it here.

Hi, I had the same problem and it comes from the url rewriting.
I just told sh404sef to pass on phocamaps and it works !

Ok, but I am not working with sh404 or Joomsef. How to solve the problem when using .htaccess with mod rewrite on?

The same problem: no images in the markers.
The images in the markers were not displayed, when using SEO.
I tried it with the complete path to the image, but it doesn't help.
I switched SEO off, and the images were displayed. (Joomla-SEO with mod_rewrite)
Is there any expert, who knows to modify the htaccess file?

I find out, that it is not necessary to modify the htaccess file:
Images were not displayed, when the SEO-switch is on independent on the htaccess file.

You can solve the problem, when you write the complete source path of the image in the html-code of the marker (e.g. http://domain.tld/images/stories/......jpg). Depending on the used editor you shoudn't switch in the wysiwyg-mode, because the editopr may change the code.

I had the same problems. SEF is on and it was used the JCE. With the JCE are general problems with Phoca Maps, in fact almost anywhere, not only maps. He kills formatting even though the key is switched off cleanup.
With the Tiny it's just a trick. If the "Insert Image" is the button below the editor takes the picture in the editor after the store is still displayed in the front end but do not. According to a source package is before the image path then always "/" so "/images/..."
If you look at the source code in the editor, it actually looks ok. (images/...)
If now the marker but again saves the image in the visible front end and the source code looks now like this "images/..."
Whatever. Joomla is a mystery, at least the editors. ;)
