Hi -
I'm having no luck getting the plug-in to work. I was hoping someone might be able to point out a few possible reasons for this that I might be able to investigate further. I did read the documentation carefully and I followed the instruction to the best of my knowledge/ability.
I want to have my phoca gallery categories display inside an article. At the moment I have a phoca gallery on my site. I need to have it inside an article.
I downloaded the plug-in and installed it successfully. I activated it in the plug-in section. I placed the relevant code inside an article (I even switched off the editor in case that was a problem). Two things happen after doing so: one, the code shows up in my article or nothing shows up in my article.
I also created a menu link to the gallery.
I'm using Phoca Gallery v. 2.5.8 and Phoca Gallery Plugin 2.6.2.
(and Joomla 1.5.15)
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Carl

Re: Can't get Plugin to work
Hi Carl,
my first hint: use the same versions both for the gallery and the plugin.
Regards,
Ronny

Thanks for the tip. It makes sense. Don't know why I didn't see that myself.
I updated the phoca gallery component to the latest version. That didn't work out so perfectly unfortunately. But I won't ask for guidance on that. I read the documentation on it and tried my best to follow the instructions. Wasn't aware of the potential trouble involved in upgrading...Must say, I might be scared off by the possible things that can go awry down the line, especially after having created a sizable database of images, categories etc for client's websites.
Anyway, thanks for the advice- pity I still don't know if it would've worked. Still, the tip to upgrade sounds like the way to go to have tried to sort out my problem with the plug-in.
