Hi,

got a question....
how do members upload a picture ?
Ive seen a few small tutorials like..."Select the upload rights for USER and for CATEGORY in Menu - Phoca Gallery - Categories (New or Edit"

Huh...
That doesnt show or tell me how that users can upload as i dont see an upload function in the front end.....logged in as admin.....

So how to do this all?

If you select the upload rights for a member, the upload form will be displayed in frontend for him (in the selected category)

i see,but do you mean you have to fix it every time for a new member ?
cant that be set so every registered member can upload?
Instead of adding rights all the time?

This works for cases, every user has own category where he can upload his images...so you create a category and select which user can upload images there.... From security reasons, every users cannot upload images everywhere (there is max upload image size, max space on server for every user, and user's folder) ... Joomla! doesn't have user groups (which administrator can define), so upload rights are not possible for user groups but for users only...
