Redirection in SEF not working

Thanks for this great component!

We recently redeveloped our websites and went to a new server so our old files are not there. I created a custom 404 page for these links. Using Google's webmaster tools, I'm able to see the old links and add them to Phoca SEF. However, since they are not a part of the joomla package, it seems Phoca SEF does not redirect them.

For example:
mywebsite.com/ads.html will not redirect through Phoca SEF to index.php/404.html.
mywebsite.com/index.php/editorial/environment.html will redirect to /index.php/editorial/departments/environment.html.

Any suggestions?

Hi, is the 404.html existing page, it only will be redirect to existing page - is the page a Joomla! created page?
