Hi, if you have files which are stored on another server, you need to link them directly (external URL in file edit). This has no influence on path.

In this case, as a direct download link will be displayed. I do not want to link users directly access files. What solution do you recommend?

Hi, yes, when linking to another server the link is visible. Unfortunately I cannot imagine any sensible way to use external server and to have not public link to it. E.g. somehow download the file from the external server to your server (e.g. with help of cURL), prepare it and download it from your server - which of course does not make any sense as in such case, better way is just to host the file on your server directly.
The common problem is, if you want to manage the file (access rights, etc.) on your server, it must be stored on your server, you cannot manage files on your server which are stored on another server
