Hello. I have Joomla 3.6.2 and the latest Phoca PDF (just downloaded) component, and both content and system plugins. The plugins are enabled and I have entered category IDs into the plugin to specify the article categories to use the PDF icon.
(side question... is the category designation required? If I leave that blank, can it just apply to all categories??)
I have made the icons.php change as specified in the instructions and uploaded it over the original file in the /layouts directory. I also tried using a template override.
However, even when using a default Joomla Beez template, I can't get this to work. What could I possibly be missing??
Can't get PDF icon to show in Joomla 3.6

Hi, try to check it with standard template like Protostar is:
1) try to use system plugin
2) try to edit the article output file (protostar does not override it)
