Grey screen with Joomla 2.5 (FF, chrome)/ For development (IE)

The maps screen stays gray. The map is not shown.
I'm using with version 2.0.6 of the plugin on a Joomla 2.5 site on https (using FireFox and Chrome)

When using IE after some warnings the maps shows, with the text 'for development purposes only'.

I succeed to create the Google API key, but in v 2.0.6 I cannot find the option to fill it

Can you please help?

Hi christos,

your Joomla version & PM are outdated. You should update your Joomla site and all (other) extensions, e.g. templates etc.
Current version of Joomla is: 3.9. Phoca Map component & Plugin: 3.0.5
Also PHP version could be a problem - e.g. since ca. Joomla 3.5, PHP version 7.X is possible/needed.

OK. I was postponing the upgrade time-after-time. But now it seems to be unevitable to do so.
