Joomla won't parse {phocagallery}syntax

Hello Jan.

First of all, thanks for this great photo album/gallery component!

I am trying to integrate a photo album i've created in Joomla using Phoca, to
include in an article. Somehow it just show's me the text form, and won't parse
the syntax.. it just returns like this;

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=2|
limitstart=2|limitcount=3|detail=0|displayname=1|
displaydetail=1|imageshadow=shadow1}

I've tried many thing already and checked my installation, i can't find a solution.

The same thing happens if i trie to add a slideshow, using the slideshow syntax!

Hi,

maybe a stupid question: did you install and enable the Phoca Gallery plugin and the Phoca Gallery Slideshow plugin?

Thanks for your answer. I've checked it once again and yes.. they are listed and
enabled. Is there away of enable an debug option in the source code?

no, not that I know of.

Did you remove the breaks from the code (it has to be in one line, without any spaces, except for phocagallery view).
Did you type the '{' yourself in the code? On this website they are displayed as images.

Thats the correct answer, yes i just did the copycat trick and copied the whole
syntax from the site, including the accolade/ } image. So of course nothing could be parsed at all!

I have a similar problem at hand. Please have a look at this page:

As you will see, the random image to the left is working perfectly, but using the button plugin to generate the phocagallery code in an article (look to the center of the page, article on "Albrechtshöhe") the syntax is not being parsed.

I have installed the component, the gallery plugin, the slideshow, and the button
Running on Joomla 1.5.14 native, using JCE editor (but tried others too)
