Error Saving Filename

Hi there, again....

I have been reading the forums to see if I can solve this problem I am having but can't quite figure it out.

I can create categories and sub categories. But when I go to create a gallery I get an error that states -- ERROR saving filename

Does anyone know why this is happening. I have Joomla 1.5.1 & phoca 1.5.8


I would really appreciate help with this.

Hi, it means, you cannot save the data into your database... Possible problem is that installation script didn't create the phoca gallery tables... For more info see:

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem with version 1.6.8 and 1.7.1beta. Have reinstalled several times - no success. Tabels existing. Can create Categories but no Galleries.

What else could it be. Do you have an sql script to create a gallery direct over PHPAdmin?

there is sql query for creating tables (install.bak file) ... maybe you don't have permissions to create images by GD library ( images/phocagallery folder - see if there is a thumbs folder) or maybe the GD doesn't work on your server...

Same problem here.
Joomla 1.5.2
PHP 5
Phoca Gallery 1.7.1 beta (downloaded today).
I was able to create 1 gallery from the uploaded pictures in the root of the images/phocagallery. Made several more sub folders and uploaded files to them.
Able to create categories but no galleries (Error saving filename).

I run my own server and have total control over permissions. Checked my database server (MySQL) and set database permissions to all. All folders in the image folders are 777. There is a thumbs folder and the gallery that I created runs just fine. No new thumbsnails are created since the file is not created.


Thoughts?

Great little program though, hope I can get it up and running.

Exist both Phoca Gallery table in your database?

What does it mean:
the gallery that I created runs just fine ... Does it mean, you see some images in the front?

Does it mean, the gallery works only for images in the root (images/phocagallery) but not for images in subfolders?

Yes.

Both jos_phocagallery and jos_phocagallery_categories are in the database tables with permissions set to "All".

I am able to see images in all other components and plugins as well as the gallery that runs, so I believe it is installed and working correctly.

so it seems like there is some problem with creating path or checking path to images in other images/phocagallery subfolders...(are the subfolders saved in images/phocagallery folder? ) see your created path to the images in other subfolders if they are correct...
