when gallery addons updated to 1.6 ??

im seriously considering going back to 1.5 after starting out in 16 and doing quite a bit of work and realising that all the neat little addons for phoca gallry dont work any more... (tree, menu, search, button)

when will they be update ? should i wait or start again in 1.5...

i just read some other posts iand i see its not an easy task, especially someone doing it for free...

so ive actually started from scratc with 1.5 again. and i just wanted to say its easy enough for the stage i was in to get my phoca photo and category data (all i had entered) into my 1.5 database from 1.6 in phpmyadmin.

i just compared the tables and deleted the fields from the structure of the 1.6 tables so it matched that of the 1.5 table (checking off course there was no needed data in them which there wasnt)

then just export and import, and and then copy the image files themselves between installations

i just wish i known about the lack of compatibility with 1.5 modules 1.6 has since any forms of a 'legacy mode, have been removed.

oh, and i found i just had to change one columns value to 0 from 1 to make all categories 'Public' rather than 'Registered'

(dont run this though till you check that you need it)
