Absolutely nothing happens when I install - how to start?

I have tested this in a Joomla 1.5 setting - the demo one - and the plug in installs and creates its component correctly. However, when I install it in MY Joomla 1.5 website, with a template I designed, absolutely nothing happens. No component is installed, no images/phocagallery - literally nothing.

Please tell me which files from Joomla 1.5 I must acquire and install into my template in order to use this plugin. I have evidently disabled or do not have a key file of some kind that this plug-in requires.

Are specific javascript files required?
Is there some specific file or option I must enable?

If I can find out I can install or enable them.
Please advise.

I solved it. I downloaded the plug in again and installed it again. It worked. I have no idea why it didn't the first time.
