Phoca Gallery Slideshow Floom Module, can't get it to work

Hello,

I have installed a Joomla! 1.7 template Carbonlab Black&Grey. It comes with a slider, to be enabled by downloading Phoca Gallery and Phoca Gallery Slideshow Floom Module. I have done so, and try to create the slider in psoition 12 (which is above my content). Since I have also a top-menu link to my Phoca gallery, my category with banners for the slider appears also in my menulink, which is something I do not want to happen.

Furthermore I don't seem to be able to get the slider to work. I activited the module, and have tried to adjust everything according to threads here. Anyone who can shed a light on both my problems?

For what it's worth, my site is paradies.williwawdesign.nl, phoca-album is shown under Fotoalbum. The site still needs a lot of work, I also have to adjust the colors in my gallery....

Hi, create specific category for the images in the slideshow and then hide this categories in options so it will be not displayed in the main category (where the menu link links)
