Sometimes it is not prefereble to have user folders. Is there a possibility to send all the uploads into one folder? For example all dedicated users send it to one folder? The reason is that the path of some files (SWF files),in my case, wil be used into an article as link and it's much more simple to have a dedicated folder to link to instead of changing path. ( ex. public_html/uploadfolder/file.swf is easier then public_html/phocadownload/userupload/06d42a21d2/file.swf . With a changing subfolder '06d42a21d2' for each different user.
You have to realize that not all the frontend -uploaders and article editors always have enough knowledge/experience to understand this all. It must be easier made for them.
So it possible to do this?

Re: Disable/Enable User Folders
I'm using download module and I have exactly the same problem. Could you clarify me where I have to set the own path?
Another question is if it is possible to allow users to create categories.
Thanks in advance
