Blank screen on install

I have installed Phoca Download and at the intro page when I click new installation it sends me to a blank screen, I see the program available in components and yet when I go to the control panel I still just get a blank screen.

If you can do this - go to Global configs (Server tab) and set error reporting mode to Maximum.
After this, instead of the blank screen you should see error description.

I experience the same problem. After setting the Server to 'Maximum' I still see a blank page.

Check the Apache error log. It could not be a case without recording any errors.

Are you using the latest version of Phoca Download (for 1.6 and 1.7) in combination with Joomla 1.6.x ?

That is not working as I experienced recently. Because the recent Phoca is using Joomla 1.7 functionality, which was not yet included in Joomla 1.6.x. The solution for that occasion is two options,
- either migrate to Joomla 1.7
- or if not possible install Phoca download V2.0.1 (an older version which works fine with Joomla 1.6)
