Send email to user groups

is there any possibility to send emails to user groups instead of single user?

e.g. send email to all "Registered" or to all "Publisher"...

I would need such an option as well. Especially with a front end solution for registered users
(e.g. all registered users can send emails to the group registered, and no one else).

Hi Jan,
I Agree with the previous posts, that would be the best simple mail sollution for Joomla!
Just select a group front the frontend by users from a given group and send the mail.
