Joomla 2.5.6 Upgrade causing problem with Phoca Download 2.1

newbie here. I just updated Joomla to 2.5.6 and the Phoca Download Plugin 2.1.6 seems to have stopped working. I can go as far as viewing the download file, but when I select the download option the file does not download. One of the files I am testing with worked fine last week, and the other I just uploaded after the Joomla update. Not sure how to go about troubleshooting the issue, any advice is appreciated.

Just made a new Joomla 2.5 installation to test. Getting errors when trying to create catagory as well as when accessing Users or Statistics. Error message says: Table 'joomla.eas2_phocadownload' doesn't exist as first item. Confirmed when phpMyAdmin checked. Table for Phoca is not created during installation.
However, I have a site with 2.5 (last Joomla upgrade to 2.5.4) still running 2.1.6.

I have installed new site with Joomla 2.5.6. I have succesfully installed Gallery but Phoce Download causes:
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/mnt/web-data1/qes_cz/public_html/veterinalibcice/components/com_phocadownload/helpers/route.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php5:/usr/share/php') in /mnt/web-data1/qes_cz/public_html/veterinalibcice/plugins/content/phocadownload/phocadownload.php on line 16
Download install had installed "succesfully". com_phocadownload directory does not exist

Hi, if there is no "com_phocadownload" directory, then something went front with the installation
