check for youtube, if not, load ftp video

I have a series of videos I link to using my Phoca gallery, but often my visitors do not have access to YouTube (for various reasons...).

Would it be possible to somehow run a video from the server if the user does not have access to youtube? Something like a if, else code that would run Youtube first, or else run a local copy of the video?

Hi, this needs to be customized - somehow ask the youtube server if the video is accessible and then decide what to display (but no experiences there )
