file overwrite

Hello

I have a problem which seems a little weird for me;)
I have : Joomla 2.5.17; phocadownload 2.1.9

One of my user has downloaded (or opened, I don't know) an excel files. He made some changes and recorded it. This file with the corrections he made, has been recorded on the website as well... And if someone else downloads the file now, he has the corrections made by this person.
I don't understand how it is possible and what to do to stop that....
In the parameters, everythings looks normal to me

On your site, users get only such file which you have uploaded (or other user) to your site.
