Forbidden Word Filter and Forbidden whole word filter

Post by jeroenh »

Hello,

Can someone tell what's the difference between "Forbidden Word Filter" and "Forbidden whole word filter" in the [Options] > [Security] tab?
Is Forbidden whole word filter multiple words seperated between comma?

Hi, see similar posts in this forum where I have explained it.

Example:

Forbidden Word Filter: "body" - the word "body" will be blocked even it will be included in other word: e.g. anybody, somebody, bodyguard
Forbidden whole word filter: "body" - only word "body" will be blocked, not parts in e.g. anybody, somebody, bodyguard

Thanks Jan,

I couldn't find it in the forum and the page you mention wasn't clear enough for me.
In the backend of Joomla I always hover over the label for explanation. I think it will be a good idea to add the above explanation to it.
