The problem with IE7 is if e.g. 2 javascript will be used... if only one is used, everything is ok, but the second do the problems (ie cannot open the site...)

I install phoca-nature template but the IE7 error comes again...
At this point I dont understand why in your site the phoca menu module work correctly and in my no...
Recapitulate:
Joomla 1.5.4
Phoca Gallery last release
Phoca menu module last release
JCE editor component + standard joomla components
No other Modules exept the phoca menu + the standard joomla modules
Joombackup + googlemap + phoca gallery + standard joomla plugins
Legacy mode ON
Does not matter template because tested with standard joomla, phoca-nature and other templates
IE7 problems at thumbnails display moment
Firefox 2 and 3 works perfectly

Any idea ?

As I wrote, the error is caused by IE bug (I don't know IE) but in the articles, you can find, that e.g. if one javascript is used, then there is no error, but if e.g. two javascripts are used, then the error occures, why ??? No idea.. so on your site there can be some conflict... Now, I have removed the Phoca Gallery Menu Module, because this module was the second... if I enable it, then I get the same error as you .... because the Menu module uses the jscook menu javascript and the random image module uses the joomla standard frameworks modal box ...

Now I will try to find a solution myself or wait for your suggestions...
Sorry also because is the first time in two years that I'm not able (with some joomla people help) to solve a problem...

In any case thanks for your wonderful job and if I find a solution I will inform this forum...

Ok, I will appreciate it... because then I can publish the Phoca Gallery Menu module and other modules which cannot be published now (because this IE bug)...

Dear Jan,
probably good news:
as You know when I wrote my first message the website was in a subdirectory of my main website:
http://www.zorzini.it/butticeceramiche for test the site

Today the provider give me the requested new web site and I transferred all under:
http://www.butticeceramiche.it
also updated joomla with latest 1.5.5 release and changed the tempate.

Also now, and I test several times, I'm not received any error in displayng galleries via phoca menu module.

I do not understand the reason but next days I will test again and hope to (not) receive (bad) feedbacks from the first visitors (the web site owner first of all).

Thanks again for your nice components - modules - plugin etc and during next days I will send at phoca a donation (not a lot because I like You continue to develop web code instead to go in Maldives for life).
