Hi - I've installed Facebook comments module and it is a great module, very quick and eacy to install and very powerful. I have one issue with it though.
I am using Joomola v.1.5 and the module is working fine but I now want to enable SEF on my site and when I do the like box still appears and the form box for posting comments appears but the existing comments are not shown when I enable SEF. Currently I have SEF disabled until I find a fix. The module can be viewed at:
http://www.carrickonsuir.info/index.php ... Itemid=175
It would appear the existing comments are not imported to the SEF URL but are to the ugly URL which was the active URL when I installed the module. I've tried adding that one line of text to the html tag but that did not resolve the issue. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Phoca Facebook Comments issue when SEF enabled in Joomla
Hi, yes, facebook stores the url to save the comments (the url is an id) if you change the url, then the id is changed and for such site, there cannot be displayed some comments by "other" url.

Re: Phoca Facebook Comments issue when SEF enabled in Joomla
Thanks for the reply Jan, I would really like to get this sorted as the site is much better if I enable SEF but the FB comments and the likes (90 of them at this stage) disappear. Is there any workaround for this such as if I uninstallthe module then reinstall it? or is there a place in facebook or Joomla that I can edit the old URL of the comments so they appear on new page?
If the problem can't be fixed, it is also pointless upgrading to Joomla 1.6 as that uses SEF url's by default and all existing FB comments will be gone.
Many thanks in anticipation of a solution.
