Permission issue

I have install the phoca download component 2.1.4 on joomla 1.7.3 and I have set permission to register user only everywhere but when I go on the frontend without login, I can download everything.

is it a bug or miss configuration?

Do you set "Access" from "public" to "registered" in the file dialog?

Without testing all possible situations I am pretty sure this is a configuration problem. But as this is probably a configuration problem it is very hard to say what is wrong. So check if that the files in PD are not direct links. Check the permissions. Make sure you set access rights to -registered users- and that the -registered users- are linked to the right group (see control panel -> options -> general).
