FTP uploading and deleting

Hi, I cannot not delete or upload to the phocodownload file through my FTP client. I can upload other things to my site using the FPT, but not into or out of the phocodownload folder. I can upload to phoco through the backend but that is all!
I don't know much really about web design, but I am guessing some setting is wrong!

Hi,
try to check ownership and permissions of /phocadownload/ folder. Permissions should be 0755.

I changed that (it looked right to begin with) but it still wont let me, when I tried to delete a file it said
50 baptismbook7.pdf: Permission denied

Hi,
try to upload a file without spaces in its file name to /phocadownload/ folder via FTP for testing.
e.g. 50_baptismbook7.pdf instead of 50 baptismbook7.pdf
Some servers still have problems with spaces in file names..

ok thanks I will try that, but what about deleting? It wont delete anything

Same problem. If your server is not able to handle filenames with spaces, you have problems to delete such files...
