Share files without the status of "editor"

Hello!
I have to allow 5 users to share documents on a joomla 2.5 site.
I created users with joomla and I allowed them to access, download, delete files with phocadownload.
However, for this to work, I have to give these people the status of "editors" in Joomla, which allows them to modify all items on the site (which I don't want).
Is it possible to solve this problem easily ?

Hi, there is no reason to add "editors" for them in case you are setting different rights for Phoca Download - this is independent to editor role. Just add them to some group and set access for them.
